Bei dieser Arbeit geht es um die Idee und nicht um die Qualität der Ausführung der Schmuckstücke.

Diese Broschen sind nicht „echt“, sondern Drucke von Fotos die ich auf farbig umrahmten Karton geklebt habe.

Es gibt auf den Portraitbildern zwei Ebenen:  Das Portrait und das Foto, das hier als Brosche auf der Brust platziert ist.

Diese Ebenen verbinden sich indem die Brosche das Portrait dekoriert und eine Stimmung transportiert.

Jede Person hat eine andere Wahrnehmung, daher kann ich nicht einschätzen, ob andere die gleichen Assoziationen zu den Fotobroschen haben wie ich.  

Das erste Foto „Das Fenster zu meinem Herzen“ ist wohl am einfachsten zu erklären. Es bezieht sich darauf, dass ich durch meine Arbeit etwas von mir zeige, und damit auch etwas von mir öffne, das mir sehr wichtig ist.

Meine Erinnerungen, meine Eindrücke, die Bilder die mir etwas bedeuten, sammle ich nicht nur im Fotoalbum, oder in der Timeline eines sozialen Netzwerkes, sondern trage sie am Körper und mache sie mir so noch mehr zu eigen.

 

This work is about the concept and not about the quality of the craftsmanship of the jewelry.

These brooches are not "real", but prints of photos that I have glued on to a color-framed cardboard.

There are two layers to the portrait images:  The portrait and the photo, which is positioned here as a brooch on the chest.

These levels connect by the brooch decorating the portrait and transporting a mood.

Each person has a different perception, so I cannot assess whether others have the same associations with the photo brooches as I do. 

The first photo, "The Window to My Heart," is probably the easiest to explain. It refers to the fact that through my work I show something of myself, and thus open a part of myself that is very important to me.

I don't just collect my memories, my impressions, the pictures that mean something to me in a photo album or in the timeline of a social network, I wear them on my body and make them even more my own.
